I have been working with acrylic paint for 50 years and have seen it evolve into such a versatile and forgiving medium. I have been a Golden Paint fan for almost as long. It was a dream to become a Certified Golden Artist-Educator 12 years ago. We are not sales reps nor is selling product the point of this affiliation. It reflects the desire to share, encourage and help artists, from student-level, to professional, build confidence with all the options we have with pigments, and acrylic mediums.

to get started or if you want supplies for one of my painting classes, the following Golden Paint Sets are a great place to start. I work with limited palettes or a double primary color palette of 8 colors max:

Note that when working with acrylic, it's best to maintain a separate set of acrylic brushes from watercolor, oil or other painting mediums.
I recommend a disposable paper palette for ease of clean-up and portability. The Gray Matters toned palette is my go-to!

Surfaces
for quick studies and the classroom, the following canvas pads or panels are an economical solution.
I'm a big fan on working on unstretched, primed 100% cotton duck canvas pads. Typically they come in a tear-out pad of 10 sheets. I use artist tape to tape of different aspect ratios/sizes. The canvas sheet can be trimmed, matted, framed or stretched depending on your finished needs.
